Also known as 'Herringbone' due to the distinctive pattern made in the belt, a twill weave has more surface contact with the dough so that it can generate stronger extraction from the mould.

Twill: increased contact area improved extraction

The design of a broken twill pattern allows for air pockets to form, reducing the contact area with the dough and enabling an easier release from the belt to the next part of the process line.

The weave construction changes the characteristics of the belt, allowing them to be tailored for effective extraction and optimum belt life. All of our belts have woven selvedges as a standard feature, with a continuous weft giving increased stability, better tracking and improved wear resistance against mechanical stress. Optional polyester reinforcement can be woven into the edges for extra strength and food grade PU coatings can be applied to the reverse side.

 

Arville belts are manufactured with a unique woven endless construction i.e. it has NO JOINT OR SPLICE anywhere in its length.

 

Different types of yarn combinations are used depending on the operational life, level of performance required from the belts and the consistency of the dough mixtures.
